Marine Drill Instructor boards wrong bus - High school Students Traumatized.

It was just a matter of time. Local San Diego high school hired a new bus driver recently and he got on the wrong exit and ended up on MCRD.

Having just finished his first cycle as a Drill Instructor, Staff Sgt (Redacted), was pretty amped up. "I just love Making Marines, I lost my bearing a little, I guess" He entered that bus with the intensity of a freight train. One student tried to explain they were lost and obviously was greeted firmly with agreement. "No S*** You're F****** Lost!!!! But now you're found, and you belong to ME!" An onslaught of beratement continued for another 15 minutes continued until another Drill Instructor, who had been sitting outside the bus listening and laughing finally felt the children had enough, walked in and dismissed the Drill Instructor.

The Command SgtMaj received a concerned phone call from the High School Principal later that afternoon. The tone quickly shifted when the SgtMaj had heard enough. After several apologies from the principal, the school has sent out a memo to angry parents. "The incident in question was part of a planned recruiting trial" The memo went on to explain, the students were given a unique opportunity to experience boot camp and should be thankful for such a honored experience.

Hot cocoa and warm blankets were passed out at the school, all children expected to have a full recovery. Local recruiters report several students called the next day interested and have begun plans for a joint operation to reroute more buses to the gate.

If this is true. What a great way to remind the lily livered lefties that men are still prepared to stand forward for their nation
Well done that man. Respect to your corp from a (ex) brit para

Anyone that believes this story is as gullible as all could get out. Seriously you’re reading this on leatherneck.com, known for releasing either padded stories or complete fiction. If this were real it would be a PR and social media nightmare. Use logic people this article is on no other news outlets. You cannot confuse a greyhound bus and a yellow twinky school bus that the state uses. A public use school bus wouldn’t even have been able to get through the gates to get to the unloading area. A D.I wouldn’t have been Able to enter the school bus for the driver wouldn’t have let him on. Lastly MCRD busses land From 2 – 4 a.m way earlier than any highschool even opens at. This is a terrible story to boost the very padded legacy of the marine corps. I mean come on “hot chocolate, blankets?” This sounds like some fat out of shape retired baby boomers fairy tale wet dream. Another reason to laugh at a younger generation. Grow up. This commented by a 26 year old marine vet.

Wow. Funny article! Very creative imagination for sure. Unless the Guards at the gates were asleep I highly doubt a “lost” driver could get on base individually yet alone a big ass bus. MCRD has tighter security these days.

Reminds me of the first greeting at MCRD SanDiego in April 1966. We learned in real short order we were no longer civilians. Recruit training was shortened because of the need for personnel in RVN so we had the pleasure of the short course with all the content of the relaxed 16 week course.
I do believe that a major problem with these last couple generations is their lack of discipline because they have no sense of duty to anything but themselves. I took my oath of enlistment on 9April1966 and to my knowledge it has no expiration date. At nearly 75 I will still answer my nation’s call and get there the best way I can. I can still hit a man sized target at 400meters.
