75 years ago the U.S. sent Marines to capture the Japanese airfields at Iwo Jima, and the Corps showed the world their unyielding willingness to overcome the enemy.Â
We honor this iconic battle and the brave Marines who fought and died in it with this special edition t-shirt illustrating the initial landing and battle lines after the first day of fighting.
Among the Americans who served on Iwo Island, uncommon valor was a common virtue."
--Admiral Chester W. Nimitz
I had never seen an Iwo Jima shirt like this. It has a map of Iwo Jima on the back. When I was stationed in Okinawa, I was able to participate in a 3 day military educational trip to Iwo Jima and I walked and studied most of the island. This shirt takes me back there. It is the coolest shirt. I wore it today and received several positive comments on it. I LOVE THIS SHIRT.
I bought it for my USMC Vet and he loves it. It fits great and looks so good on him (hubba hubba). Hi recommended and they shipped fast. Great material to boot.
I was really excited to receive the shirt. Material too thin and collar curled. As a Marine, the quality was poor and I was embarrassed to wear it.
I was hooked when I saw the Iwo Map and then I also ordered Belleau the same day. I was hoping L4L would keep it up and without a doubt, you dropped the Chosin Map. I'll have to wait till the pre-order hits but I'll also be looking out for 1805: BATTLE OF DERNA "To the Shores of Tripoli"; 1847: THE BATTLE OF CHAPULTEPEC "The Halls of Motezuma"; 1968: BATTLE OF HUE...I swear I'd have an entire closet dedicated to the history of the Marine Corps!!
Oh, and the shirt fits awesome. I order an XL and from other stores and it's typically a toss up as to whether or not the shirt will fit right. This was spot on. I enjoy the unique designs offered by L4L as well as their Instagram presence. Thanks for bringing in other Veteran Owned businesses. I always make a conscience decision to support my brothers in arms!!
